Wapiti Labs Consulting Veterinarian Appointed to MN Board of Veterinary Medicine
Governor Tim Pawlenty recently announced the appointment of Wapiti Labs consulting veterinarian, Delores Gockowski, DVM, to the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine. She was appointed to four-year terms that expires January 2, 2012.

Gockowski, of Sturgeon Lake, Minn., is a practicing veterinarian and owner of North Ridge Veterinary Service, LLC, a mobile mixed animal veterinary practice. In addition to her extensive agricultural background, Gockowski has extensive experience in equine breeding, animal husbandry and mixed animal care. She received her bachelor of veterinary science and doctor of veternary science degrees from the University of Minnesota.

One of Dr. Gockowski's interests is geriatric medicine. With a large population of working dogs experiencing arthritis, she began investigating combining traditional and alternative therapies to enhance the pet's quality of life. Her realization was that using elk velvet antler was precisely the adjunctive therapy needed.
